STC, Inc. is committed to sourcing materials and components from companies that share our values related to human rights, ethical behavior, and environmental responsibility. STC, Inc. supports the goal of ending violence, human-rights violations, and preserving the environment on a global basis.
As a part of these values, STC, Inc. does not directly purchase any Conflict Minerals from any source and does not knowingly procure any product containing conflict minerals from the conflict region.
In response to the Dodd-Frank Act of 2010, requiring certain companies to report the presence of conflict materials (tin, tungsten, tantalum, and gold) originating in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or an adjoining country, STC, Inc. has implemented a Conflict Mineral mitigation program that consists of:
- Supplier purchase-order requirements to ensure that suppliers and component manufacturers do not knowingly purchase Conflict Minerals from the conflict region.
- Existing supplier verification through collection of Conflict Mineral documentation, including Form SD.
- Continuous supplier database updating (using the iPoint Conflict Minerals platform).
STC, Inc. strives to work cooperatively with our customers and suppliers in implementing conflict minerals compliance programs and awareness, and we may reconsider our willingness to source materials or components from suppliers who fail to support these goals.
