December 2024 – Sun Transformer, a division of STC, Inc., is proud to announce that they have obtained recertification of their Quality Management System to meet ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Since they received their first ISO certification in 1999, Sun Transformer has been dedicated to continuously improving company performance and adherence to industry quality standards. Implementing standardized processes, including process improvement and quality control, allows Sun Transformer to accurately measure performance, track RMAs (returned material authorization), and improve testing protocols to enhance their transformer products for customers in a variety of industries.
ISO is a leading, globally recognized standard in quality management. Official ISO audits are valid for three year periods. To obtain ISO certification, an in-depth, supervised audit is conducted to ensure all quality measures meet ISO standards. However, organizations must also undergo annual ISO audits to maintain their ISO certification. These annual ISO audits ensure that organizations are continuing to properly maintain their quality standards in the interim and that their Quality Management System is still ISO compliant. Similar to a full ISO recertification audit, a supervised audit is conducted annually to ensure compliance.
