Three Phase Transformers
A three-phase transformer contains three sets of primary and secondary windings, with each set (of a primary and secondary winding) wound around one leg of an iron core assembly—appearing as if there are three single-phase transformers sharing a joined core.
Three phase transformers consist of three AC voltages with a phase differential of 120 electrical degrees between any two adjacent voltages or currents. The three separate windings must also be connected in the proper sequence to match incoming voltage.
